Professional Training Contemporary
Caroline Finn
A structured, varied and highly physical training consisting of an accumulation of techniques, experiences and practices ranging from Graham to Gaga. The training focuses on an energising sequence of technical exercises and phrases to enable the participants to find their centre, articulate their joints and play with both the release of weight and activation of the flesh to drive movements. A seamless buildup to more technically challenging and dynamic phrases sees the body employing a multitude of textures, moving through the space, embracing the floor and flying through the air. Participants can expect to activate a full range of dynamics, build strength and stamina and discover a juicy fluidity in the body; to be challenged in technical skills but also invited to let go, ‘eat the space’ and dive into a full-bodied experience of the exercises and choreographic phrases offered.
