Oliver Dähler trained at the Royal Ballet School in London. This was followed by engagements with the Royal Ballet of Flanders in Antwerp and the ballet at Stadttheater Bern under the directorship of Martin Schläfer. Oliver also worked as ballet master, choreographer and dance mediator at both Stadttheater Bern and Lucerne Theater. In 2005 he was a founding member of the atempo repertory dance ensemble and from 2008 the artistic director of Chur tanzt. In terms of cultural policy, Oliver was president of the umbrella organization for artistic dance Danse Suisse and has been managing director of the retraining foundation for performing artists SSUDK since 2016. From 2020–2021, Oliver completed the further training program as a photojournalist at MAZ in Lucerne.
