Resonance

James Batchelor (choreographer/dancer) and Bek Berger (dramaturg) will share the making of a new work, Resonance, in the form of a lecture performance and demonstration. The presentation will include excerpts of choreography, film, and notated scores.

Resonance is a new work by James Batchelor and collaborators, developed in deep dialogue with the legacy of the late Australian-German choreographer Tanja Liedtke. Resonance approaches the archive as a living, embodied exchange. Featuring an intergenerational cast, the work transforms archival material into a dynamic act of reinvention. It speaks to the bonds of friendship and community that sustain the dance field in times of crisis—acknowledging loss while nurturing hope through intergenerational dialogue and learning.
