Neil Höhener

Neil Höhener is a dancer and choreographer from Arbon (Thurgau). In 2019, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Dance at the Zurich University of the Arts. As a dancer, he has worked with companies such as Cie Marchepied, Cie La Ronde, and Club Guy and Roni's Poetic Disasters Club. He presented his own short pieces, such as the solo White Room, at the Skopje Dance Fest in 2019 and at the opening of Tanzhaus Zürich. His solo Take a Seat was showcased at the International Solo Dance Theater Festival in Stuttgart, the Solo Dance Festival in Ankara, and Quinzenade de Dança de Almada, and it received the Newcomer Award at the Oltener Tanztage in 2024. His duo No Controles, developed together with Moira Lafosse, was presented at Mixed Pickles #12 in Roxy Birsfelden and was also seen at the Winterthur Dance Festival and Théâtre du Jura. In 2023/24, he is an Associated Artist of TanzPlan Ost and is developing his full-length solo An Act as part of this collaboration.
